The story of COASTAL FABTECH is rooted in resilience, hard work, and an unyielding drive to build a better future. Born into an ordinary farming family, our proprietor, Mr. Bangara Raju, learned early on the value of grit. Realising that the family’s financial status at the time was not sufficient to sustain them, his personal ambition was ignited. Driven by a thirst to create a better life, he took his first career step in 1986, joining a sugar factory in Chennai as an employee.
It did not take long for Mr. Bangara Raju to find his true calling. In 1987, his fabrication journey officially began at his uncle’s manufacturing unit. Over the next five years, he immersed himself in the trade, gaining deep, hands-on experience in the precise fabrication of flanges and vessels. His natural aptitude allowed him to quickly master advanced industrial services, including the fabrication of storage tanks, pipelines, and chimney erections.
By 2000, recognising an industrial boom, Mr. Bangara Raju established his own company focusing exclusively on storage tanks and piping for the petroleum and edible oil industries. He strategically shifted base to Kakinada — the port city known as the "City of Edible Oil Plants" and hub for fertilizer industries. Arriving as one of the city's first specialized contractors, he secured a landmark project with BPCL, subsequently executing 95% of edible oil plant storage tanks and pipeline works across the region.
Driven by excellence, Mr. Bangara Raju scaled operations across international waters. His global footprint includes specialized edible oil refinery projects in Colombo (Sri Lanka), Muscat (Oman), and Sierra Leone (West Africa). In the heavy energy sector, he delivered major crude oil infrastructure in Nigeria, and the company is currently executing massive state-of-the-art edible oil refinery projects in Angola.
To sustain this massive growth and carry the legacy forward, Mr. Bangara Raju’s two sons have stepped into core leadership roles. For the past 12 years, both brothers have been deeply engaged in the business, meticulously following the exact core principles, operational rules, and high standards set by their father:
